Not only should we skip breakfast, but we should also skip a full supper. Indeed, the ideal seems only one meal a day -- if we can help it.
Don't think you can do it?
Skip breakfast, exercise early on an empty stomach (black coffee is fine) and eat a good meal mid-afternoon. OK to snack on nuts or fruits.
And be sure to floss and brush early so you can stop eating and get to bed on time.
There's nothing new about this diet. The Ancient Greeks ate a single meal a day and poked fun at their Sicilian neighbors who ate two.
But there's something the Greeks didn't know: Grains are addictive. So forget about cereals -- and all of them. They're the biggest contributors to our obesity. And they hook the kids early on with Saturday morning cartoons.
