To run the government our country needs the Republican Party as much as it needs the Democratic Party. There are no winners when one party stubbornly wants to dive off the cliff. It is all of us then who must preserve a strong two-party system because we do not know how to govern ourselves any other way. Ultimately, it's our own fate that's on the line -- not merely that of the Republican Party. And we'll be damned if we’ll just stand by when knuckleheads try to hijack our government.
